Do I hate my schedule.

I live at home and commute to university with my sisters. That means a good 40 minutes or more of fighting traffic on the way to school ... all in the morning. The two days that I don't have early classes my sisters have classes at 0900 .... which means I either arrive on campus at around 0740 (TR) or 0840 (MW)

Anyways:

TR 0800-0915: CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry II Lecture
R 1600-1650: CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry II Discussion
M 1700-1750: CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry II (Exam)
T 1100-1150: CHM 2210L Organic Chemistry I Lab Lecture
W 1300-1650: CHM 2210L Organic Chemistry I Lab
MW 1100-1215: PCB 3043 Principles of Ecology
M 1300-1550: PCB 3043L Ecology Lab
TR 1230-1345: ANT 2000 Anthropology
TR 1400-1514: LIT 3103 Great Literature of the World

I have it worse, it takes 1 1/2 - 2 hrs to get to my school in the morning so I'm stuck waking up at 5:00 AM, then arriving from school at 5:00 PM.

You have it LUCKY FRIEND!!! Good thing I'm going to be a senior, not as many classes as I had in earlier years.

On Monday I wake up at about 0730, leave at 0800, arrive at 0840 and leave campus around 2000.

Congrats.

Ah, well you didn't mention that. I thought you would leave a bit earlier than that.

Was that sarcastic or serious? Anyway, more or less everything else was done in years before so my senior year is kindof a relief.

Physical Anthropology or Social? Judging from the rest of your timetable I'd say physical. That's a cool subject.

Me, I've got a pretty good shedule, so I'll list it:

First-Year German Review 8:30A - 9:20A MWRF
Modes of Film and Video Production 3:30P - 5:20P W (lecture)
Modes of Film and Video Production 10:30A - 12:20P TR (class)
Topics in British and Irish Film (Representing Race) 2:30P - 3:20P MWF (discussion)
Topics in British and Irish Film (Representing Race) 3:30P - 5:30P M (screening)
Styles and Genres (Experimental Film) 1:30P - 2:20P TR (lecture)
Styles and Genres (Experimental Film) 7:00P - 9:30P T (screening)

Which reminds me: maybe I should get my ass to bed. :)

It's an introductory course so it's a mix of the two, I think. The class is filled to the brim with people - it took a half hour to call roll (required on the first day)

Meh I have two holds on my account, so I can't register for Spring until I get these cleared up. I have to let the SoE that I'm not going to be doing an engineering major, and also see Financial Aid and Student Account people. Blegh. This is going to be fun, esp. considering I haven't put in my FAFSA this year because I was stupid.

And then I can't even check what classes are open for next semester cos apparently I don't think the catalog is out yet. Oh, well.

My timetable

I have to get up 90 minutes before the start of my day to get there in time and it can take anywhere from an hour to two hours to get home depending on how the trains feel like running. I'm beginning to wish I'd decided to live in...

09:00 - 09:50 MWF : Physics 151 Lecture
11:00 - 11:50 MWF : Sociology 101 Lecture
12:00 - 12:50 MWF : World Religons 107 Lecture
05:30 - 06:45 MTR : Calculus 163 (II) Lecture & Quiz Section
09:30 - 10:50 TR : Analytical Chemistry 253 Lecture
02:00 - 04:50 M : Physics 151 Lab
12:30 - 04:30 R : Analytical Chemistry 253 Lab

Yep, thats right folks, a 6 hour gap on Tuesday and I live 42 miles round-trip from campus. But I think I've got an alright schedule.

I think Sektor has us beat, but my round trip is ~60 mi.

I took that class, it was one of the easiest ones I've ever taken.

My Schedule:

Monday:
12:30 - 1:20 - MAC 2281 - Calculus I for Engineers

Tuesday:
12:30 - 1:20 - MAC 2281 - Calculus I for Engineers
1:30 - 2:50 - ENC 1101 - Writing & Composition I
3:00 - 4:15 - ECO 2023 - Microeconomics
6:00 - 8:50 - PSY 2012 - General Psychology

Wednesday:
12:30 - 1:20 - MAC 2281 - Calculus I for Engineers

Thursday:
1:30 - 2:50 - ENC 1101 - Writing & Composition I
3:00 - 4:15 - ECO 2023 - Microeconomics

Friday:
12:30 - 1:20 - MAC 2281 - Calculus I for Engineers
2:30 - 4:20 - EGN 1006C - Introduction to Engineering

Tuesdays are the days of hell for me, but I always wake up late, so I'm happy. I live right off campus, and there's a bus system that comes around every 10 minutes, so it usually takes me around 15-20 minutes to get to class.

Yeah, I'm told it's the most requested school in Florida. I feel so proud :D

Er... how are you taking CHM 2210 and CHM 2211 in the same semester? Wouldn't 2210 be a prerequisite for C2211?

MTRF - Calculus I - 11:00-11:50
MW - Medieval History - 3:30-4:45
TR - Economics - 1:00-2:15
TR - Digital Design - 2:30-3:45

Always live on campus :D

It looks like he's already taken ochemI lecture, just needs to do the lab.

Ochem sucks ass and it's really the most worthless class I've really ever taken. The only things you really need out of it can be taught to you in a month. The rest is just busy work memorizing regents and the exact mechanistics of a gazillion reactions.

Even in Biochem, the most ochem I needed to know was how to follow the electrons and carbons through the kreb cycle. For molecular, same thing. For advanced molecular, same thing only applied to physiology. And the labs are just busy-body work as well.

But it's cool you're labs and class are seperated. If you grow narcoleptic in the class and not do well, at least you have the lab grade as well.

Unless you got it different than my General Chem I, that's not every Monday, but only Mondays where they tell you, right?

*grumbles about that piece of shit TOTL Exam tonight*

Still going to USF? Hit the roundup at all if you are?

Anyway, me:

MW
  • Wake up at 0500, get ready, 0600~700 Battalion/Remedial (won't know until after I take the PFT/PRT, can't remember which is Navy, but M is mandatory for all hands anyway) PT.
0900-1050 NSC 1101 Intro to Naval Science
1200-1250 MAC 1140 PreCalc Algebra (my HS math classes sucked, so better to be safe than sorry when I hit Engineering Calc)
1400-1450 CHM 2045 General Chemistry I (Most boring class ever)
1700-1750 (Select W only) General Chemistry I Exam
T
  • 1000-1050 MAC 1114 PreCalc Trig
    1400-1650 CHM 2045L General Chemistry I Lab (No chairs...assholes)
R
  • 1000-1050 MAC 1114 PreCalc Trig
1400-1650 NSC 1101L Naval Science Lab (Yeeehaw, Khakis baby!)
F
  • 0900-1050 SLS (Number escapes me ATM) University Experince (Hopefully, easy 2 Credits)
    1200-1250 MAC 1140 PreCalc Algebra
    1400-1450 CHM 2045 General Chemistry I
Luckily, I have understandable teachers (read: English speaking), which, at USF, is quite a miracle from what I hear, especially around Math and Engineering.

Sorry, that should have also been CHM 2210L, not 2210.

No, I was goin' home when the Roundup was on.
MAC 1140 PreCalc Algebra
Hrm. 10th grade math :D
CHM 2045 General Chemistry I
Hrm. 12th grade chemistry :D
MAC 1114 PreCalc Trig
More 10th grade math!
CHM 2045L General Chemistry I Lab
Even more 12th grade chemistry!

The majority of teachers don't speak English that well. Dr. Chang is a good Physics I w/ Calculus teacher, though, but his tests are harder than Dr. Lo's (the latter who cannot speak English very well, the former can)

When I'm in Orlando, I live about six doors down from the head of their Engineering Department, Dr. Jamal Nayfeh. I think UF's still slightly more requested than UCF, but the Golden Knights are the fastest growing student body in Florida.
