*UGH* I swear, I am Fate's Bitch! What should I do guys?

First instance. Last week I met a girl at an art function who's both a premed and a history major. A girl who can speak my kind of geek in TWO different languages. Furthermore, I find out she's interested in American post-colonial periods which sends me drooling. Unfortunately, she lives an entire seaboard away.

Second instance. Through some random links, I find a picture of a girl I thought was really cute.. she went to a school a state away and I had literally no connection with her. Now I find out she came down and is now the roommate of one of my best friends. Unfortunately she has a boyfriend (good news is, I hear they're having some problems). I mean, really.. I think God is mocking me here.

Anyone else feel like fate's bitch?

Not really, my problems are of my own making.

My girlfriend as of a year and half lives on the other coast from me. We haven't met in person yet. Just a thought.

Trytostaydead, i think you've been presented with a great oppertunity right now. Make an impression on the girl, get to know her and she may realize that her boyfriend maybe is not best for her--you've got a great in, seeing as shes the roomate of one of your best friends! Frequent visits to that friend ought to make her comfortable around you and stuff and who knows...i've seen stuff like this happen all the time man.

If you stare at a closed door in frustration, you might fail to notice an open door nearby.

It's definitely not your conventional relationship. I'm not saying it's for everyone, just that distance doesn't have to be an obstacle.

I've broken up with my boyfriend of 3 years
I've moved house into a shitty cockroach infested Hellhole because my 'best friend' is a selfish cow

I've been the recipient of unwanted male attention
My grandmother's borken her leg and had an operation under full anthaesthetic, and is now depressed.
The victim liason officer at the parole board wants to speak to me about... something.
