I underestimated the time it would take for an internet connection to be established, so I'm arriving a week and a half ahead of when I wanted to. However, I have a high-speed internet connection now.

Anyway, since I was gone for two weeks, perhaps my longest absence ever, I would like to know what happened while I was away?

I thought everyone knew this, since it took place in public forums. Somebody posted some flamebait calling all Northern cities (eg- New York) shitholes, so some people flamed the South in return. Kelly called Durandal an asshole for flaming the South, and he refused to apologize (and in fact, he flamed her back) because he felt he did nothing wrong (and most people agreed with him), so she left.

Unfortunate that things had to go that way, but we're certainly not going to run around censoring or profusely apologizing for anything that might offend a Southerner around here.

Really? I completely missed that flamebait post...

I saw a flareup between Durandal and Kelly in another thread though, and I thought that's what caused the Venting blurb, and the subsequent events.

And indeed, no reason to censor things that may offend us Southerners...we all know that it's only a matter of time before we rise up again and control the world.

Oh, I gave up on that thread about page four.

If you're so thinskinned that people's words about an entire geographic region offend you to the point where you want to leave, don't let the door hit you on the way out.
