I bought the new Wildhearts album 'The Wildhearts must be Destroyed' and its brilliant, fantabulous and good.

But the bugger has copy protection so I can't copy it to my computer & on to the mp3 player I have winging its way to me in the post.

When I found out I fell to my knees and roared 'Damn you Krapotkin!!!' (cookie to who can place the quote)

Bah...

And I just realised this is the wrong forum, can a mod move it please?

Play the CD on a stereo system with really good speakers and then use a microphone to record the music onto your computer. It might not be of the best quality, but you'll be able to play it on your computer and soon to be mp3 player.

Play the CD on a CD player with digital outputs, then pipe those outputs into a soundcard with digital inputs. Presto, a perfect digital copy of a copy-protected CD.

That's insane. Why not simply connect the audio outputs of the CD player (preferably digital, but analog will do if sound quality is not an issue) directly into the computer's sound card instead of this loudspeaker/mike bullshit?

Punt & Dennis.

Not quite as good as Fist of Fun (Await barrage of catchphrases from Rye...), but an entertaining show.

:? Probably because I didn't know that you could do that...and probably because ever since my CD player fell from 5 feet onto a hard marble floor in the big blackout I've more or les forgotten that portable CD players exist. But now I know, and knowing is half the battle..........

Or, you could download the album, seeing as you already own it. I'm sure someone somewhere has ripped/recorded it successfully.
