Just had a new thought about bible and numbers and I would like to run these numbers.

When Noa landed on whatever mountain he had three sons and three daughters with him?

If eatch pair of these kids had ten children and five of those children survives to fertile age.

Then we have 15 children and they have 10 kids of whom 5 survive to fertile age.

How many year will it take to get to the current figure of humans?

Help me out here this sort of math is not my strong side.

lesse
6E9=6e^rt
r=15/25

so [25ln(1E9)]/15
pop that into your calc for time, though it may be wrong, I wish I could remember this better.

With that growth rate......

Excluding external factors the population would step up alarmingly quickly.

My estimate is about 500 years to hit current world population with that growth curve.
