This Flash dingus supposedly reads your mind.
I found, after many tries, that when you do the little math problem, it gives you the right symbol.
It obviously doesn't read my mind, but are any of the more computer-minded members hip to how this does what it does?

My mind must be unreadable. Only worked randomly.

For me, it works randomly unless I perform the little math problem. Maybe it runs on some sort of timer or something, adjusting for my particular brand of idiocy, and waiting just long enough for me to work out the problem.

Oh, this is easy. It changes the symbols each time. It's set up so that the math will only lead to certain numbers invariably, and each of the numbers has the same symbol. Whatever symbol 9 is, is the symbol that will pop up in the crystal ball.

Nevermind, I feel like an idiot now. I just realized how it does it.

Yeah, exactly. I can't believe I didn't see that right away, but then again, I've done stupider things.

7 as the starting number hozes it 100% of the time.
