More strange tales.
Worm eater on slippery slope
September 4, 2003

A Thai firefighter, who eats worms to spice up his sex life, has been warned that worm-eaters run the risk of consuming harmful parasites.

Paisit Chanta, 39, from the central province of Nakhon Nayok, was quoted by The Nation newspaper as saying he had been eating worms since he was 10 years old, when he got hungry while fishing.

"I looked at the worm can and thought it would be OK to eat the worms because the fish did," he said.

"I washed the dirt off them and put them in my mouth and chewed. They were slippery and smelled like raw egg."

He said he felt unusually active after eating the worms and has been consuming them ever since.

"As a teenager I visited a brothel and found I could have sex three times without feeling exhausted," he said.

He said he has cut down on his worm intake since he got married. "I only eat worms when I want to increase my sexual stamina," he said.

Although his family is tolerant of his unusual diet, Dr Sohphon Ratanawanthana, a pathologist at Nakhon Nayok Hospital, said Mr Paisit risked serious illness from inadvertently ingesting parasites.

"Worms have protein, but they cannot stimulate or enhance sexual competency," Dr Sohphon added. "Exercise is more effective if one wants to improve sexual stamina."

I'm more interested in: "Exercise is more effective if one wants to improve sexual stamina."

But I wish worms could do it. :D

Does "nobody like him, everybody hates him?"
Does he bite the heads off, suck the guts out, and throw the skins away?
Does he have a garden?

Does anyone get the reference?

Yes, I do. Partly from watching one too many "Kids in the Hall" episodes.
