Like other North-American cities when some white people is alone surrounded by blacks, they crap themself, and hope the police come to their rescue.

So a kid got picked up for loitering and now the family's suing? That's fucked up. That happens a lot, hardly seems like racial profiling to me.
Of course it sounds like there's more to it than that rather one sided account. If the whole neighborhood is up in arms I doubt that one incident represents the whole situation. Sounds to me like they're just mad because the cops are enforcing the law.

Racial Profiling is when a cop thinks "Hey, most criminals are Black, lets go bother blacks until we find one". That is illegal. Profiling is when you say "The survalence camera here shows that a black man of 6'6" killed the store clerk, be on the look out for...". That is legal.

From what I hear it is racial profiling, but of course, it is only one side of the story.

Is there any indication of what other possible abuses are that these people are suing about?

It's hard to say what's going on here; people love to whip up stories out of nothing.
Take Toronto's Jane-Finch area, for example. Nobody who can afford to live elsewhere will go there. There are several Jamaican street gangs who have recently moved in because of the drug trade (yay, another benefit of the war on drugs!), and they're continually causing trouble.
So the police are on the lookout for Jamaican street gangs. Naturally, a black youth wearing a headband draws more suspicion than a white guy wearing Dockers. RACIAL PROFILING!!!! screams the headline in the Toronto Star.
I am as strong an advocate of racial equality as you will find, but I have trouble seeing the Star's position on this issue. It sounds more like ruthless liberal scapegoating to me. So I'm not necessarily inclined to believe that there must be some substance to this Montreal complaint just because the people are up in arms about it.

OK, when you're a cop that patrols a neighborhood of racial minorities, the chances that you're gonna bust someone who is of a minority is .....??

Well in the district of St-Michel there are two know Haitian gang one group called "Les Beau Gars" i don`t know if they have an english name, anyway it must be the same and the other Crack Down Posse,so other black are whinning racism, how do they want police to arrest bums if they can`t have help knowing who`s who.
