For those here who have rollerblades where do you use them,on the sidewalk,in designated areas or directly in the street in the middle of the traffic.
I`m asking this cause yesterday there was this dumbass who looked like she wanted to recieve a Darwin Awards.

All generalizations are false./sarcasm off
I rollerblade and am neither female, or Nancy. If by nancy you mean gay...I'm not. I quite enjoy it, actually, and I am quite good.

When your knees start to ache from too much running....you know there'll be rollerbladers pointing and snickering..

With weight training and good shoes, you can run into your 60's without knee problems.

Unless you have prexisting issues with your knees that make any kind of impact painfull.

I rollerblade for the same reson I hang out on this forum: I enjoy it! and on rollerblades, it's not uncommon for to go 5 or 6 MILES, when I run, (I HATE RUNNING) I quit after about a mile out and then I walk back home. When I 'blade i don't think about the exercise I'm getting, I just have fun!
(Anyway, you ARE right, though, alot of people are of the opinion that us fruit-booters are gay, but we ALL know chicks dig that, so if I present an image of gayness and some hot roller-chick comes along and "Saves" me...well...you won't hear me complain....)

Rollerblades suck. I never learned how to rollerskate--let alone rollerblade--beyond the most elementary level. I saw the practice as boring and stupid, and still do.
I'll ride my bike, thank you very much.

It helps keep your skating skills fresh over the summer so that when Hockey season starts you don't trip all over yourself on the ice. Besides, rollerblading with chicks is fun.

As opposed to walking, biking, driving, or fucking them? The mode of transportation matters not!

There are no sidewalks where I live so I rollerblade on the street and on the paved paths in the parks near my area. Most of the time I'm on the various paths that work their way down to the lake and all the way downtown, but to get to the paths I have to rollerblade on the roads for a bit.

yeah... Ill take wheels over the accrued knee damage from running anyday. do you have any idea of the induced G-loads on the knees, hips and spine from running (especially jogging, where typically people run either flat-footed or heel first)?
now, if you use proper technique (never letting your heel hit ground during the stride), short distance running is pretty good...
