At times every day, my legs would always shake by itself and it's getting really annoying. It would start out of nowhere and one time I couldn't even stop it until I standed up.... Anyone know what's up with me?

Jason

I've seen this before. Muscle spasms, maybe from sitting too long. Try stretching out a bit.

No. Don't rely on us diagnosing you for christs sake. See a doctor, that doesn't sound normal.

Cyaround,

It is because your penis is shrinking and your legs are trying to warn you. :)

I agree with BS, though...even restless leg needs to be checked out. It can be at the very LEAST psychologically devastating.

My leg starts up like that, too. I don't pay it any mind, but if you're really concerned, you should see a doctor. Knowledgable as though we (okay, some of us) are, we're no substitute for a person who is actually paid to look into these things.

That happens to me a lot when I finish a good long run and I haven't had anything to eat. Food and/or stretching makes it go away.

It's usually down to nerves misfiring making muscles in certain limbs go a tad haywire temporarily.

Though if it gets bad and persists, consult a doctor, it could also be caused by DVT in rare cases.

Doesn't sound normal? Dude, lots of people will be sitting down and their leg will start randomly bouncing up and down. It happens to me all the time, in fact sometimes I try to get my leg at the right angle so that it will start bouncing. Lots of fun when I'm bored.

Unless it's keeping you from falling asleep it's porbably nothing too serious.

I do it often, usually the left leg. I'm able to shake an entire upstairs room, or a good portion of a classroom doing this. I usually see this as a cheap way to burn off calories, as well as keeping me awake. Usually my legs fall asleep pretty fast if I try to suppress it.

When I was taking the MCATs as I was doing my damn best to hurry through those godforsaken verbal sections.. there was this guy shaking his right leg rustling his athletic pants at probably a gazillion hertz. So as I was reading about the geopolitics preceeding WWI about landlocked versus maritime power.. every other sentence I would lose my goddamn concentration.

Go get it checked out before some over-stressed person like me comes and beats you with a 2x4 :-D

Wow, for once, maybe I'm not such a weirdo.

It happens to me all the time when I am sitting in certain positions. I remember once in high school we took a long trip on an overcrowded bus. The poor guy pressed next to me almost went crazy from my leg vibrating against his. My theory is, if you get in the right position, some nerves get pinched or pressed or something. Mention it the next time you see the doctor, if it worries you, but I wouldn't worry about it, unless it happens totally randomly with no relation to your leg's position.
