Stardestroyer.net is a great internet site but like all great things it too has room for improvement. Here are my suggestions for making an already great site even better.

1. Add a Movies and Music forum : Lot's of people want to discuss music and movies but due to lack of appropriate forum use the off-topic forum.

2. Add a Books forum : Stardestroyer.net users are avid readers. Give them the chance to discuss what they read.

3. Add a e-mail facility : It would be cool to have myname@stardestroyer.net. It is such a cool URL name.

4. Add a chat system : We want talk to others user and have discussions live. Add a system for chatting.

5. Add a download section : Stardestroyer.net users over the years have submitted huge volumes of pictures, web pages, links etc. They should be in a download section for future reference.

Not enough demand for it. Besides, they can all be discussed in their respective forums (Fantasy, OSF, SW, ST, etc.)
2. Add a Books forum : Stardestroyer.net users are avid readers. Give them the chance to discuss what they read.
That's what we have the FF and the WG for.
3. Add a e-mail facility : It would be cool to have myname@stardestroyer.net. It is such a cool URL name.
Been discussed in higher-power forums.
4. Add a chat system : We want talk to others user and have discussions live. Add a system for chatting.
IRC info's at the top of the forum
5. Add a download section : Stardestroyer.net users over the years have submitted huge volumes of pictures, web pages, links etc. They should be in a download section for future reference.
Do what now?

There is no music section. People do have to use OT for music and movies that aren't sci-fi related.

I don't believe there are enough threads about that issues that warrant their own forum. Offtopic/fantasy/osf are doing fine.
3. Add a e-mail facility : It would be cool to have myname@stardestroyer.net. It is such a cool URL name.
It is, isn't it?
There's not capability to give adresses to more than a few dozens.
4. Add a chat system : We want talk to others user and have discussions live. Add a system for chatting.
There's a sd.net channel. Use it if you want.
5. Add a download section : Stardestroyer.net users over the years have submitted huge volumes of pictures, web pages, links etc. They should be in a download section for future reference.
web pages and links OK, you can store them anywhere. I hope you're not suggesting Mike should store any picture posted here for future reference

*mutters to self* I will not start petitioning for a books forum

OK, I might. I think it would be good to have a place where there's a thread per book for pure literary discussion (and no laws against threadomancy). But the idea's been talked about and rejected, and I'm fine with that. But I don't want to clutter up the OT with threads that will die before people read the books under discussion.

Music - nah.

Why such harsh response ? I was only giving suggestions and not making any demands. I am sure others too have their own views about making this site better. SD.net is a great site but we can make it even better.

We dont need more forums, we have a chat room, if you want to host a huge database go ahead, and email has been discussed.

I guess this sums up the issue then. SD.net will remain as it is for the forseeable future. Not that I mind.

For some reasons girls are not seemed to be attracted towards this site. We had the same problem at A2files.com, BCFiles.com and MW4Online. Is it possible that girls are less interested at sci-fi than boys ?

Of course girls are less interested in sci-fi than guys. And if they're interested, they're interested in characters, not technology.

That's because technology's boring.

I am not interested in the technology much. It is the coolness factor of Imperial Star Destroyers that made me like them.

I would make a donation on paypal or credit card or something for a SDN email addy. PLus, if Mike asked for donations, it would filter out people just trying to eat up bandwidth...

Stardestroyer.net is such a cool name. I would PAY to have my e-mail address here. Too bad I am not old enough for my own credit card.

That's because the bitch named Acacia was a troll, and I have doubts that she was female in the first place.

Nah. yourname@stardestroyer.net is available only to us mods and it should stay that way. :P

Have a very nice day.
