If you had to lose one sense..

Which one would it be? I'd choose touch, lots of things are painful, and it would be convienent if I didn't have to feel them. However, pain tells you when you're doing too much of something, or something is broken. However, this is more of those "Choose the least worst" polls than a "Choose the best" poll

I'm torn between hearing and smell. Hard choice...

Smell, i can live without smell (actually, i would probably die from a gas leak or something, but it would be quick, so i dont mind), i would not be able to smell good stuff, but i can still taste it, and I actually enjoy eating too much to give up taste (i dont mean eating like shoving things to my mouth, but sitting down, and eating slowly).
Touch? What the hell are you talking about??, a life whitout being able to enjoy sex would be pretty boring.

Smell.
I doubt anyone's going to vote for sight.

I have horrible allergies. Losing smell wouldn't effect much.

Taste. most food sucks anyway. Taste depends on smell, and I would still smell, Lose touch?! I think not....would make it difficult to ejaculate, methinks....

I'd lose taste. It doesn't matter what you eat, the only thing that stops you is what it tastes like. Lose that and you go on a dog shit diet and not care...
Anything else has uses related to the world outside your body, so they are important.

Common. Who needs it?
But, if I must choose from the poll...if I can be like DareDevil, I'd lose sight. That would be sweet, to *see* shit in rain...
Other than that, I'd go with smell as well. Given my roomate at Indoc, that would've come in handy (damn gas passer).

Taste. I couldn't get by without my other senses, they're way to important.

Let's see. Losing sight would take away the only one of my senses that even halfway works right (that is *not* saying much since I am nearsighted and dayblind btw). Losing hearing would take away communications and one of my major enjoyments (listening to music), granted I am very hard of hearing anyway. Touch would not be so bad since my nerves are messed up to the point that that is a very unreliable sense as it stands now, however I would miss being able to feel things (namely if I ever get someone in my life). Smell would be an annoying loss since I use it to help figure out what is wrong with the engines I work on... However, like the rest of my senses, it is unreliable and in fairly bad shape. Taste is something that for me is important for eating, though that is also pretty weak.

man... i'de have to say, smell, then taste, then touch, then sight, then hearing, then my psychic ability.
I value my senses in that order

Except making all food tasteless.
But I'd probably choose that, too
Have a very nice day.

I'd lose sense of smell, even though it would severely reduce my sense of taste.
Sight and hearing are what I would consider to be most importent, aesthetic-wise. Touch would be about middle-range, since it would be hard to do much of anything, like walking, when you can't feel anything.

Either smell or taste. I'm not sure which.

Smell, the others are just more important to me.

Taste, considering most tastes are odors, anyhow.

Taste, losing it would have the least impact.

Agreed. It does not affect your health in anyway. Infact you would be more healthy since you will no longer want to eat fattly and delicious foods.

Considering how big a role your nose plays in enjoying a food, definitly taste. Coffee, for instance wouldn't lose anything.

Touch.
I have alot of people that Id rather crush without pain on my side. Other wise Sight because it would be a good excuse to feel up a Girl

Taste, 90% of what decides whether you will like a meal or not is smell, without a sense of smell everything would taste like cardboard... so definately taste, im not really missing out on much other than my body warning me about sourness and poisons and stuff

To those that chose touch, you do realize that you would no longer be able to have sex or wank off? Or well you could have sex or wank off, but you just wouldn't feel anything or be able to... come. Kinda frustrating me thinks.

--I need sight and hearing the most. Losing touch would be a severe problem in the lab and while trying to do involving the use of my hands. That leaves smell and taste. I need smell to warn me about noxious fumes (don't need to be breathing in acetic acid fumes by accident) and rotten food. Taste doesn't really help me get work done and is generally just a convenience and source of pleasure. Therefore, taste goes....

Smell, half the time my nose is useless anyway thanks to allergies.
