And it's going to get worse
I say that another three to six celebs will die before the year is out

There is a whole generation of artists who are getting into their later years. It is bound to happen. Watch reruns of some show from the 70's and think about all the older stars, they all passed away too. It is just a new groups turn now.

They seem to die really fas this year. So far, we've had John Ritter, Bob Hope, Katherine Hepburn, Fred Rogers, Barry White, Buddy Hackett, and I'm pretty sure that's just the tip of the iceberg.

I'm friends with Gordon's daughter Kiva, who is an actress here in NY. She was in a sketch comedy show my roommate produced, and I got to meet Gordon when he came to see her two years ago. It was shortly after Richard Mulligan died, which had been a big shock. So after the show the entire cast went to a bar across the street, and I had drinks with Gordon Jump and talked about his being on "Soap" and "WKRP." It was pretty cool (and, oddly enough, Danny Pintauro was there as well...).
RIP!
Oh, and:

Don't forget Harry Goz, voice of Captain Murphy on Sealab 2021, who was also a Broadway actor and was on a lot of 60's70's TV shows like Kojak
