AH its that time of the year when all the prepps and jocks at my school come to share that fake proudness. While they think they can fight agest us (meaning the outsiders). laugh out loud. They try to shoot us with eggs and tp but we have the upper hand. MEET my little friend mr. paintball and mrs. potato launcher. We are the outsiders most of us know how to defend ourselfs and are tactics are far more in dept than prepps. So while the prepps rejoy we will have the last laugh..... mwhahhahah.
How do you guys feel about home coming.

Certainly not as cynical and sarcastic as you.
I have a bunch of friends at school that I don't really see much during the summer, and coming back to school brings me back into contact with them. Besides, homecoming itself gets the girls involved

The students in my school pretty much gets along well with each other. Myself included. And it's always nice to see cheerleaders about.

Lucky you! At my last school, outsiders were too outnumbered to try to mess with the jocks and preps...esp the jocks. Preps you can ping. Jocks a little bit harder. They're much bigger. Now at my other school, Outsiders could actually go to Homecoming and feel at least somewhat welcome...just not Prom. A bit too prissy.
Hmm...

Our school is fairly subdued in terms Jock vs. Outsider type things. Fine with me, I suppose I could be classified as an outsider (I wear all black. A wierd personal preference of mine,
) but I try to be friendly with anyone.

The Outsiders, me one of them are smart enough too take down the jocks & preps. Most are just too dumb. They're so easy too confuse.

Unfortnately the Preppies and Really Really Smart people at my high school are one in the same. The jocks and "everyone else" are complete idoits. I'm kinda on my own.
There are five factions at my high school. The "creme de la creme" (smart preppies),just smart people, just preppies, and everyone else.
As for that fifth faction....
I'm my own faction. I'm so unique I fit in no where.
All factions are against all other factions, which means my hands are really full.

Ahhhhh..... ugh, it hurts to think about that long ago.
I was a "band fag", so I had to go to all the football games. The coolest thing was when the football players dressed as women and were escorted by the JV squad. We had a "moc" homecoming court at the pep rally.
The thing I *truly* hated about it was having to play some stupd ass love song over and over and over again while the preps walked out onto the field, usually in the rain, and ruining their shoes, getting all pissy before going to someone's house in the rich section and getting drunk and high.
Me, I would go home, watch Miami Vice and go to bed.

How can that be? There is some melding of the smarts & preps sure, but they only make grades, but I', smarter then them, and make better grades. I fit in a hazy middle I'm smart and can too just about everyone.

I've never went to a homecoming in my life. For the first two years of high school I chatted and did my duties at
www.imperialnexus.net. Last year that was changed to ASVS. This year it will probably be SD.net

I went to one homecoming...Didn't particularly enjoy it.
I'm now stuck in the viscious cycle of not wanting to go places without a date, but too freaking shy/terrified to ask anyone.

They are in what most people would probably consider the most advanced program available for high schools
in the whole freakin world They make the grades too, and hell they're also preppies.

Wow, apparently my high school is the only one that isn't totally insane . . . or maybe I just never noticed . . .
Bah.

No, my high school isn't insane either. There are no rivalries between any factions at all in my school. It's more school vs school, and that doesn't go beyond competitions. That's it.

Blah, same here. Ok, long, complicated story. I had a chance with a girl, didnt take it, and she got a bf. Anyway, I now avoid going to football games and such, because I always end up getting depressed. Seeing her and her bf is like a kick in the balls: "Take a good look, this is what you missed out on! bwahahahaha!"

We're actually really good working together (Band and Orchestra). Though we secretly joke about the bulkiness and lack of aesthetics in brass, or the simplicity of the drums (Of which, I know is not as easy as it looks), we know they probably joke about the obscene among of time that goes into setting up and caring for a cello or so. Because BOTH are terribly small classes they tend to stick together.
Our school is much more school vs. school as well.

Really? Most expweriments with Band and Orchestra in the same room are doomed to fail miserably *with the exception of graduation ordinancies.......*

Homecoming . . . in HS, I really didn't give a damn about homecoming. Though the dance was pretty nice.
Homecoming in college. Nobody outside of the football team or the people running for homecoming court gives a damn about that one.

Oh waaaah, waaaah, waaaah. I went to homecoming dances in HS with no date at all! Come to think of it, I went to
all my high school dances without a date. Didn't slow me down one bit!
