That was a weird article.
"Robert Cadotte, noted that nothing has come of industry self-regulation that was instituted in 1994 as a result of a crusade by a young girl, Virginia Larivière."
If she's a young girl, I wouldn't expect anything to result from a crusade by her.
"He cited a study that violence on television on Quebec's private television networks has risen 432 per cent since self-regulation began."
And? Nothing in the article shows where this is a bad thing.
Sounds like some people are trying to get stuff pulled they personally don't like.

If she's a young girl, I wouldn't expect anything to result from a crusade by her.
Her crusade started cause her sister was killed by a depraved lunatic who was never found,so like most people she went with the easy answer its TVs fault,she even asked then Prime-Minister Brian Mulroney to pass a law against tv violence.

So they say that there's more violence in the media, but don't connect it with any statitics, or even explain what's so bad about it? We have people like that in America too.
