I'm debating Darkstar! (audio version)

It's an SACD vs DVD-A format war.
Now the two formats are probably equal in audible quality (perfect; it was a question whether CD had any real flaws, and these two formats are specced so much higher) but theaudiohobby has to call SACD superior and trample on DVD-A. He loves quoting papers out of context and he doesn't seem to actually know the first thing about digital signals. Perhaps some of you here are gurus in this area as well as physics and want to give him a royal smackdown?
