Lets face it, Azeron's "Governence with style" is going to be the most beloved US government ever formed.

I will give the people what they really want, victories over the weak. and I will do it all in the name of democracy adn freedom. I will round up the traitors, expecially those at the NYT and ship thme off to algeria, where they can truely understand the plight the 3rd world and thier truely facist reigmes.

You do realize that the president really has limited powers. It's the Senate that runs the government.

Point: Bush has to get the Senate's approval to attack Iraq.

Hate to disagree with you there but he can attack Iraq any day he wants, He has to go to the Senate to get aproval to go to WAR with Iraq, A fine distinction for us in the Armed Serviaces beacuse you can't get Hazard and War pay(Extra +300$ a month nb) unless theres a declared war...

Ok, bad example. :) But still, so many things have to go through the Senate and House for approval before it even GETS to the President.

You need to be moere diverse than that. I mean, all the people on your ticket are men!

For the first ticket, you might want to add Buchanan, to win the redneck vote.

We should have a "diversity party"

A black crippled Wiccan lesbian for president
A Hispanic guy that speaks no english and is a gay Atheist for VP
A crazy Hawaiian guy that's dyslexic for AG
A Satan-worshipping transvestite for Secretary of Defense

And, to please the PETA people:

A fish for Secretary of State

That would nbot be hte cased.

When troops go into a "theatre of combat", then they get hazzard pay, and additionally their earnings are tax exempt.

Its not a cut and dry issue as for approval for war. If the congress declares war, the presidnet is obligated to wage it to victory or defeat -- in good faith. The congress can withdraw the forces engaged in a conflict, it may prohibit the president from fighting a war. The congress cannot however prevent the president from using the armed forces from protecting the nation from a "Clear and Preasent Danger", nor would the congress prevent him from doing so in hte first place. The consitution explicitly give the power but also compells the president to defend the nation from an attack, or danger of attack. All that is required, is that president evaluate the circumstances and make a decision that a reasonable person could come to.

Getting Congressional approval is always recommended. It looks like congress will approve considering war with Iraq is floating aroungd 70% and thats before an official appeal from the president to the people for support. WHEN he does that, expect war approval to be at 80-90%.
