I hate being sick

Back during highschool I LOVED being sick.. it meant a day of rest and playing computer games and watching TV. Now, in college I'm worried about what I'm missing in school and the sinking feeling that what I'm missing will probably be on the midterm. Ugh.

Skipping class in college carries far greater risks than high school. But at least you dont have to bring a note from mommy saying you had the flu.

Although it depends on the university and professor. Sometimes the lecture just repeats the reading, or you can obtain notes of the professor's lectures, and basically you can skip the whole semester except for the exam.

Yeah, so the teacher could verify I was sick and let me get someone elses data to play with.

Lord, I moved into my new flat last week and one of the girls came with a throat infection that she'd only just come out of hospital diagnosed with. So this Monday when she's all okay, Debbie tells me she's just been to the hospital and got diagnosed with something similar and would I pick up her bio lecture notes.

And now today I felt like I was getting the squits, but it must've been just bad food or that fucking guy upstairs with his drum & bass making brown noise reverberate around the fucking room.

Yes, getting ill at uni can be bad since a) I'm paying for this course b) I need those damn lectures that have only limited time to be taught. Not missed one lecture or practical since I started last September.

Hehe, Forget being sick. I hate the temptation that I should just say the hell with my 8:30 class and sleep in a bit more. Its dangerous not having mom to make sure you get up and go to school. :)

Being a sick high school student isn't that much fun either, at least not with my luck. Two weeks ago, I got a cold and took a few days off, only to discover practically every teacher I have had decided that my absence was a perfect time for a test or something else that's a pain if you miss it. I had to go back before I was over it, and guess what? I'm STILL sick! Tomorrow begins my third week of being sick!
Sorry, I've had a hard couple of weeks and desperatly needed to bitch to someone.

Just do what I do, buck up and go to school. Sure you may feel like shit, but its only temporary. Besides you get sympathy from the hot chicks, at least I always did when I went to school under the weather.

Day 3 - Still sick. Still running a slight fever, stuffy nose, sore throat and a continuous racking cough.

Yup.. definately flu season.

Okay, just read up on it. Nope.. definately not the freshers flu. I got sick starting from when I was at home.. I have not had contact with the freshmen (though I would love some contact with the freshgirls).. or anyone else from college. I suspect I contracted this from the hardware store. Damn Home Depot was jam packed and it was a few hours later I started developing my first symptoms.
