I read that in the paper this morning and thought it was hilarious in that appauling way that these things are... There no emoticon (at this board, at least) that expresses it; sort of a queesy hilarity.

Taking the piss out of Martin Luther King seems a little off to me, but as long as he does games for most other stereotypes, then I don't care.

Actually it seems that he is taking a rather large interest in the inner city/ghetto/black/etc. stereotype. Of the four other mentioned, the first 3 are in that genre, and the other is about white people, the rednecks.

Do you think there'd be this kind of widespread outrage at Redneckopoly? Juts make a France-opoly, nobody likes the French in America anyway.

I think it's funny in general when people get upset at sterotypes. It's way easier to prove that you don't fit the stereotype, and most of the time you don't have to do it anyway. People have become very accepting recently (at least where I live).

Heheh, this is kinda funny. And like Smi said, is there going to be this kind of outrage at Redneckopoly? No. It's PC to bash rednecks, but not PC to bash the 'hood. I personally would find the Redneckopoly funny, as I find this funny.

Anyway, I could probably go into the whole "double standard" thing, but I'll wait and see if enough others go into it to get a thread split.

HAHA. And I bet the only reason they are pissed (they being some of the inner city blacks) is because it reminds them too much of themselves and what they do. (do note that by "inner city blacks" I do mean the "gangsta" type group, including the whites, Latinos, and Asians who fill the "wigger" positions in those areas as well.)

Martin Luther King, Jr. was a great man. For this low life to disrespect his legacy like this is fucking disgraceful. I'd love to see the reaction to the redneck edition with someone like...Abraham Limpdick in it.
