Surprisingly, it didn't startle me at all, when those kinds of things usually do.

I had my volume way up from when I was listening to music earlier in the day, it was really loud seeing as I was downstairs listening and cleaning while my computer is upstairs playing music. The loudness got me more than anything, and my dog was under the desk when it happened so he got it just like me, he hate loud noises bigtime.

I don't know about getting scared, but my vol was way up and I kinda got startled trying to turn it off... it's 1:30 am here

I take it by all the comments there was some sort of sound on this. For the first tie i'm pleased that the uni computers don't have sound
