The review starts off with mere idiocy, which is bad enough in itself, but takes a turn for the bizarre in the last paragraph. What's the deal with the Jew bashing?

It's from TNR, it's hyperconservative pseudointellectual bullshit.
Period.

No, TNR is actually a moderately liberal publication. I think you're thinking of Free Republic. That's why this review is such a surprise.

Oh
In that case there was some freak cross post and their movie reviews went to the wrong publication.
Or the reviewer is just an utter dickhead.

I didn't mind this alternate viewpoint of Tarantino. I can't stand him either, but you are right, what the heck is up with that last paragraph?

I am intensely annoyed by this "viewpoint." It's true that his films tend to be pretty violent, but Pulp Fiction would have been just another violent movie without Tarantino's script.

Fuckstick Movie-Reviewer Asswipe wrote:Set aside what it says about Hollywood that today even Disney thinks what the public needs is ever-more-graphic depictions of killing the innocent as cool amusement. Disney's CEO, Michael Eisner, is Jewish; the chief of Miramax, Harvey Weinstein, is Jewish. Yes, there are plenty of Christian and other Hollywood executives who worship money above all else, promoting for profit the adulation of violence. Does that make it right for Jewish executives to worship money above all else, by promoting for profit the adulation of violence? Recent European history alone ought to cause Jewish executives to experience second thoughts about glorifying the killing of the helpless as a fun lifestyle choice.

He goes from his own bizarre ranting about Tarantino never amounting to a molehill, and actors debasing themselves(sorry it just sounds like a board dezinen bitching about how they would've done an infinitly better film with such talent honestly)

then

He does the Jewish bit...which comes out of left field and basically resolves his article into an utter waste of bytes.

When was anyone helpless killed in the movie??? Other than maybe the wedding party but that was not shown on screen.

Sophie could be considered helpless.

And as for the wedding massacre, HELLO, this is not portrayed as a good thing.

we never even see the wedding massacre anyway.

I seriously think this guy is on drugs or something. Either way he just a fucking retard. How the hell does a publication pay him to write that shit?

And Sophie's death is justified by the fact that she talks happily on the phone after watching the sedding slaughter.

Except she is not dead. the Bride sends her over to Bill.

Have a very nice day.

fgalkin's right; Sophie isn't killed...and anyhow, I don't think she's exactly helpless...she is, according to the Bride, "another one of Bill's former students," so I think she just got caught by surprise. And even if she can't kick any ass, she had it coming...after all: "This is what happens when you fuck around with Yakuzas! Now go home to your mother!"

They probably didn't know what to write.
