Best Ship Interior

What do you guys think is the best interior based off:

*Looks- does it look cool
*Efficiency- can the crew use it to top preformance
*Modularity- can anyone or thing use it

I hope I'm not just repeating a past topic (a little to lazy to go through entire archive) Well discuss, oh, and it can be from anything, Sci-fi, real life, anime, manga, personal design, ect.

efficiency is the most crucial one - just look at the interiors of today's warships, or those of Imperial ships.
Their utilitarian design also makes them look cool btw.

I'd have to say that the bridge from Battlestar Galalactica is one of the better ones from sci-fi.

Star Wars' KDY warships.

Looks: utilitarian, stark, fascist, badass
Function: we've only really seen bridges and hangars, but they seem to be quite efficient
Modularity: who cares? but anyways, it appears that they would accomodate a pretty wide array of humanoids

Shouldn't they make something that is both efficient and modular? I think with the resources the Empire has they could make something work.

Who the hell cares whether or not species with vastly alien physiologies can use the ship? If they want to man a ship, they can build one. Or maybe the Empire has ships specially refit for use in alien units? Regardless, if humans are going to man the ship, it doesn't really matter if aliens can't use it.

Yes, I forgot that the only soldiers in the Empire are humans. And if they had aliens on other ships, it would defeat the purpose of NOT having more modular designs for different species. If the Empire saw nothing wrong with using aliens on other ships, then why wouldn't they appear on the ships in the movies? Why would they ignore aliens' skills that might be useful on the bridge of the Executor rather than making modular designs to let them operate freely on any ship?

On Earth, few species engage in socially organised warfare, as distinct from hunting or individually motivated fighting. Humans are noteworthy for war (some ants and termites do it too). Perhaps the human tenacity, propensity and proficiency for warfare is also distinctive among the common sapient species of the Galactic Republic? Non-human species might participate in the galactic military to an extent like human females, who in comparison with human males are less inclined towards front-line fighting than but readily occupy specialist, support and leadership positions. In other words, it may be more a matter of disposition than institution restriction.

Perhaps we are forgetting the multicultaral attitude of Jabba the hut. The Empire should look to him for a more species inclusive culture.

Oh, Christ, where's my Nomex overalls? Well, here it goes:

Original Constitution-class bridge. Modular (the whole bridge can be swapped out) clean, simple and function-dictates-form, the way it should be done.

I like the way the Trek ships are, except I dislike those weird multi-color bubble sort of buttons they have...I mean...you get used to them...but I just don't like them very much. Too much strain on the eyes, IMO. I believe there is a theme for these message boards based on those less-than-spectacular Trek buttons.
