I guess they think representing the package for Iraq and Afghanistan as a pile of bills greater then the value of all American paper currency in existence while not bothering to show how much bigger the entire multi trillion dollar Federal budge its is clever.

It's an interesting diagram, but I don't see the point. How much would $87 billion in pennies weigh?

I'm not trying to make any kind of political statement, and while the page obviously is, I just look at the pictures. (My Y-Chromosome doesn't prevent airheadedness...)

That's a really pointless picture trick.

Newsweek did a better job by showing what else the money could potentially pay for, by showing what would happen if it was thrown at schools, what would happen if it was used on domestic infrastructure, etc.

If you dropped all those bills from the sky over Afghanistan and Iraq, everyone would've just revolted anyway.
