When are you 100% dead?

Yes, dead, totally 100% irrevocably dead, not clinicly, but absolutely. I had thought maybe it's when there is no brain activity at all. At least none that could be detected on an instrument (maybe there would still be some residual brain activity too little to detect)

But can't some frogs survive being frozen and thawed out, during which they're brain activtity is zero.

And if you brain did die, could you be resuscitated if your brain could be jump started like a car battery could be?

You are dead when you experience irreversible loss of all brain activity.

You are truly dead when nothing of you remains. IMO.

When your brain turns off. Even if it can be restarted, you're not just your thoughts, you're your uninterrupted thoughts. Restarting your brain would be like making a replicated copy -- same thoughts, different entity.

A few days after you tell your wife that you were cheating on her, IIRC.

My will and mind are as infinite as the internet is filled with porn. I can never die.

You can't be confirmed dead unless your brain is totally destroyed.

Obviously someone didn't see Friday The 13th part 3 :P

I think one is dead when the brain is irreversibly damaged and devoid of activity.

In my book it's zero brain activity and your dead. But even after that your bodies cells may remain alive for some minutes using the oxygen that's still in your blood stream, that can be dragged on months or even years with artificial life support. However once the brain tissue is out of action it never comes back. So really only a part of you lives.

You are dead when the sight of a beautiful woman no longer excites you.

A very problematic defination as it does not work for heterosexual women and homosexual men.

There are three different ways that people can be dead clinacly. They stop breathing. Their heart stops. Their brain activity ceases. Typicaly when you combine all three together death is absolute. However, such people have been revived before, but they exist in a vegitative state unless they were on cold packs prior to resusitation.

I'm guessing you're 100% dead when you start to hear dead relatives beckoning.

Or, in most of sd.net's case, when little red men stab you in the ass with pitchforks.

insert Crow one liner.

"I say I'm dead & I move"

"Karma's a bitch"

"You can't kill a dead man."

"Officer Smith, this cat belonged to a little old lady who was killed by the same people that killed Shelly and me. Expect kittens in 3 weeks"

Don't the chemicals modern undertakers use pretty much make it impossible for you to be revived? If so, I'd say that's pretty much it.

They drain out all your blood first, I think that alone is going to make revival rather difficult. Though embalming fluids are toxic IIRC.
