What is your political leaning?
Are you conservative, liberal, or somewhere in between? Feel free to explain your answer or remain anonymous.
Moderate I suppose. There are some left-wing policies I agree with, and some right-win policies I agree with.

I'm a moderate-conservative when it comes to the politics of my own country. Just to bore you all to death, here are the English pages of the party I vote for: http://www.kokoomus.fi/english/
If I were an American, I would vote for the Democrats. If they were a European party, they would be probably considered moderate-conservative, unlike in the USA.

Moderate-Conservative, though I have some pretty far right leanings on a couple issues.

Moderate Conservative. BUT there are some liberal views that I agree with and the rest is just garbage.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I tend to be conservative on most domestic issues (especially regarding medical and economic coverage) and foreign affairs. I think that conservatives generally have a better grasp of what kinds of policies would actually work in the world as we know it, but that liberals have a much better concept of ideals and morality. When they can agree on things, it usually means that it's a good idea.

As far as personal freedoms and taxes go I am what a conservative should be(not the pseudo-fascism the republican party under bush has become)
As far as equal rights, environmental protections and unecessary war goes I am liberal

I think I'm a moderate conservative...I decide on issues based on whatever I like and dislike. But I am generally a conservative person. So I think it's more coincidental that my views are the same as some Republicans, as opposed to agreeing with whatever the Republicans say.

I don't like the one-dimensional view of politics (left <-> right) because it pidgeonholes people too much. (Wong called it a "complex question fallacy" in an earlier thread.) I prefer the two-dimensional view:
I end up coming out somewhere along the border between "conservative" and "libertarian."[/img]

I've tried this test several times before, and always end up somewhere in the liberal corner. Basically I'm a moderate liberal who can sympathize with moderate conservatives on SOME law and order issues. I definitely sympathize with libertarians on issues of free expression, but my beliefs in sensible and fair government spending keep me in the liberal corner.
