Just saw Star Wars Voyager: Elite Force for dirt cheap. I thought, 'What the hell, I heard good things about it, and its cheap I'll check it out'.

So I buy it bring it home to find out you need 100% openGL support which apparently some Win2000 systems don't have and mine happens to be one.

Eeeeeeeeeh, that tripe!?!? Speaking of ASVS . . . wow, it's been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long since I've put out a chapter of Outbound Flight.

And the GSDAs are coming up to. Damnit, I need motivation!

That's not a W2K problem, that's a video card problem. What are you using?

That game is actually very good. Easy to end, but exciting and with an excellent plot.

Go for the woman, of course.

If only the writers of the game history were responsible for the series..
Voyager would really rock..

it could possibly be a win2k problem, depending on whether they coded it correctly. Then it wouldn't work on XP or NT either.

Go to this page
http://www.opengl.org/users/downloads/index.html
that should have what you need.

Don't forget to check out your card manfacuter's site for hte latest drivers.

IIRC, Windows NT -> XP have included a full OpenGL implementation (though in software). Also, that website is useless for him, because that's the ICD for Windows 95 and Windows 98.

The drivers are likely the problem here.

for some stranger reason, I thought the graphics interface sat ontop of the drivers, not be a driver in itself, like ADO->ODBC->Driver

I have a 3D Rage Pro APG2X.

That might be a problem. I doubt that card will work with OpenGL well, if at all. Grab the latest drivers from ATI and see if it'll run.

EDIT: With a card that slow, however, I don't know how much you'll enjoy the game.

Considering the GF4 MX is just a redressed GF2...

You can get a GF4 Ti4200 for DIRT CHEAP, and the performance boost alone would make it well worth the money. The only thing that'd hold you back is your processor.
