This is kind of amusing. Put some of your longer posts/rants/essays/whatever in, and it will analyze how masculine or feminine it is.

I've seen this before, it picked up on Iain M Banks, but it's success ratio was only about 50 percent so I doubt it really works.

I decided to start with one of the largest texts that I've ever written that I have entirely on file.

I entered my Intro to Film Theory final paper from last year, which was a 32-page syntagmatic analysis of The End of Evangelion and got the following:

Words: 10563

Female Score: 12865
Male Score: 16913

The Gender Genie thinks the author of this passage is: male!

Ahhhh!!!! I write like a girl! I put in a bunch of posts by myself, Zaia, and jmac. About 2/3 of my posts were deemed to be female, while almost all of Zaia's and jmac's posts were correctly identified as being authored by a chick. I think it's because I'm around girls a lot and have picked up their language styles, either that or I'm a woman in a man's body. I think I'll take the former.

I was a female for Painted Skies and the Prologue for my Eva fanfic, but a male for the first chapter.

EDIT: oooh, two stars, am now slightly older and wiser than I was yesteraday, and also more highly rated by the Good Beer Guide.

For a post I wrote in an electoral college debate a few months ago.

BTW, aerius, I'm not surprised. I thought you were a chick for the first few months of the board.

I put in some posts I got from here and got female a lot. That could be cause the genie works best on text 500 words or more. Or it could mean that I talk like a girl but write like a man.

Now what could one deduce from that???

Almost all of my long entries, stories came out as female. Doesn't seem too accurate... I mean, like 7/9 stories I entered were classified as female...

80% accurate my butt.

blogs are female, stories are male.

Well, that's because I read lots of male authors.

According to the Genie:

Chapter 1 of Harry Potter and the Multi-Franchise Crossover (by Me) = male (phew)
Starcrossed chapter 1 (By Stravo)= male
Part 1, Act 1 of Paradise lost (By Chuck Sonnenburg)= male
Heart of Darkness (By Marina) = male
My possible sig list (by a helluva lot of people) = Female, though there was only 9 points difference

if it says 80% correct then it's wrong for what i put in as the majority of the quotes in my sig list are by males.

I tried a few of my posts, I selected "blog" and they all came out as significantly male.
