If you were in Jersey, I'd say drop your pants, grab your ankles, and get ready. Since I have no idea what rates in California are like, maybe you won't get fucked too hard. Maybe.

Ah, the hell with it--there's no way to put a positive spin on this unless you're somehow well above the average age for this board. Lube up your asshole and brace yourself.

I'm proud to say that I've maintained a perfect driving record.

So far.

Well, barring the possibility of some numbnuts trying to do 90 while I'm braking for a stoplight, I suppose.

Rule 1 of avoiding speeding tickets: hit the gas, drop in front of someone else in another lane, keep doing this until mr. fuzz is a good mile behind you, then act like everyone else until you get to work/school.

(and yes, I am joking)

Go take a defensive driving course. It *does* help...

A good rule of thumb is three times the cost of the penalty for three years.

So if you got a $60 ticket, your rates would go up $180 a year for three years.

At least, that's how my friend's ticket worked out for him. It may have been a coincidence, though.
