When will we be able to specify a specific episode of a specific show and watch it anytime we want, like how the stations download them from satelittes, there will be a database where we can watch any past episode of a show just by asking for it.

Well, there is Digital Pay-Per View, and HBO/Showtime/Cinemax on demand.

On Long Island they have movies on demand. But shows.. well, we have it, it's called Kazaa.

ADV's anime channel does this, and I think that in Japan GitS SAC was released in this manner.

Yeah, iO Digital Cable service. HBO on Demand is like channel 300, but I've never used it, and Anime Network is on 507 but it costs like $6.95/mo.
