What do you do to your gum after chewing? I swallow, 9 times out of 10. According to Snopes, chewing gum is digestible, contrary to popular belief, and besides, I've been doing it ever since I started chewing gum with nothing bad happening to me. Also, since I think spit-out wads of gum are gross, I try to be considerate and not spit it out for all to see (or step on).

Trash can. force of habit. I used to get in lots of trouble for swallowign gum.

And Snopes doesn't say that chewing gum is digestible, it just points out it simply passes through the digestive system.

Not that this is really suprising to anybody who realizes the digestive system has two openings, or someone that eats corn.

I never swallow gum, and come to think of it, I hate gum. I don't chew it.

But I can tell you that, during all the autopsies I've assisted with, I have never seen uindigested gum in the stomach or intestines. Of course it digests.

I usually get a shot at a bin.

I've only swallowed it once, to deny to the teacher that I've been chewing gum. That's when she would check my mouth for it heheh.

Meh, I usually swallow. I started when I was really young, because I was always told to spit....so of course being a lil bastard I did the opposite.

Actually, I was about to post a disclaimer of sorts, but I got lazy....now I know better.

I usually spit it out the window. Great if I'm in a moving car or a building more than a story high (preferably with pigeons in the courtyard )
