Multicoloured text doesnt make for easy reading, I'm afraid... I have the same problem, but I'm a callous bastard who cares nothing for other peoples eyes...

I know sorry about that. The problem is that I like multicolored text.Maybe you can just highlight the page?

Just stick to white on black or black on white. No matter if you like it, everyone else hates coloured text for no reason. Asking to highlight the text is not addressing the problem.

KISS.

Your style is entirely up to you :D, but speaking aesthetically, I've always found a standardised design with some variety to indicate different sections to be the most visually pleasing, that's about all I can say on the matter really, your content is your own... :)

But always keep in mind that clarity and a pleasent (not "good looking" but pleasent) aesthetic layout overrides everything.

But how do i do that on a color background?

The importance for reading is contrast. If the eyes can't contrast between the text and the background, the average user is going to be mighty pissed off to highlight every text in order to read it.

Look around at other webpages that you think are good and see their usage of graphics, background and text. Most (successful) webpages for their main bodies of text do use the KISS method. You don't want to overload the reader and you want it easy to read.

You may also wish to consider a theme for your webpage or one coherent running design as well. Try getting programs like Draw or Photoshop and designing your own graphics.. you don't want them to stick out.. you want them to flow together. Sometimes border contrast is important depending on design, sometimes it's just an eyesore to see them.

Oh! Thanks! I just can't imagine getting rid of all of the backgrounds. I took such a long time getting them all together. WAH!!!

Less contrast, I recommend a font like Verdana or Tahoma.

On second thought, a little more contrast on the second page :P

Why not try creating your own insteading of lifting other people's designs?

I give them credit. And I like using those. I never said they're mine.

Even though it makes the site rather unappealing? Right now it's like almost every other GeoCities site: rather boring and uninteresting, visually.

You have portions of black text on nearly black areas of the background. This is simply insane; no one wants to have to highlight text in order to read it.

One possible suggestion: darken the background significantly, then use white text.

Where? I never noticed that? I could just fill in the spaces with color.

We just used up the allotted bandwidth, which it had very little of since it's a GeoCities site. Just wait an hour and the ugliness should come back.

Please don't make fun of it. I don't insult anything that you've made. So leave it alone.

What if I said under 10? Would that make you feel better? What does that have to do with senseless insult.
