Since the forum is leaning towards the topic of popular games, I think this would be a great time to ask everyone if they know of any freeware gems or free online games that the world wouldn't be fun without (like Graalonline before the commercialism set in, or that Armagetron game I found through Mike's website)

Or, more likely, the mindless action games like Soldat or Hell Fighter at all?

The best answer to midday LAN games in a busy work environment where I am is a bloody little game of Soldat, but there's precious few actual players on the net worth pointing a sniper rifle at.

Anyone else know of any freeware gems that don't get the public appeal they should?
