This is the funniest shit I've ever heard!

Don't worry, the joke is on the redneck. It takes a long time to listen to all of them.

Doesn't this guy start to get the idea that this might be a prank?

EDIT: And I'd also like you to know that not all us rednecks are this, uhm, stupid. ;)

There are five calls. He still hasn't realized that any of them were pranks.

I find it somewhat ironic that a Georgian posted about prank calls to rednecks. ;)

Some funny shit, but nowhere near as funny as the Roy D. Mercer stuff. :)

It's funnier because the guy is such a retrograde troglodyte shithead.

I was listening to the NASCAR prank and laughing my ass off.

About two weeks after I moved to Delaware, NASCAR had a race over in Dover. It was as if there was a redneck stereotype convention going on. The bar usually has a high percentage of black guests, but that weekend it was nothing but lily-white.

I never understood the appeal of NASCAR. I talked to one stock-car driver (not a major circuit) once who summed up stock-car racing to me in four words: "stock cars go left".

Indeed, that's all they do. I suppose there's some interest in that if you're emotionally invested in who wins, but honestly, round and round and round they go, where they stop, nobody knows ...

My dad was very blunt about it. He said he watched for the crashes.

That just about covers it, yep. You also kinda watch to see how 'your' driver's doing. And it's decent background noise whilst fixing Sunday Dinner.

There is some strategy in it, from what I hear, but I myself can't stand watching it. Might be interesting to see one in real life, but on TV or hearing it on the radio, nope.

I like the way he's wife says that "We're good christian people" right after her husband's [BEEP] litany.

Yeah.. there's the stategy of knowing how many more laps you can get on that last tank of gas, how worn your tires are, how much draft you can get off the person in front of you, when and were to pass.. etc.

The funniest thing is that I learned all this info by osmosis, just hearing it on TV in the background growing up.

I also know that a NASCAR racer can survive a wreck where the car flips 15 times, some of them having the car over 6 ft or more off the ground.
