I missed the South Park when he returned. What happened?

Nothing really, he just showed up, the boys asked him where he had been (very casually) and he said over by the Christmas tree. Then the episode ended.

I think he just showed up after several months with them trying to pick a new friend. Butters and Tweak each did a few episodes as the fourth friend. Then they had a few episodes where it was just Stan, Kyle and Cartman; I think the episode that ripped LOTR was during that period.

No, that one had Butters as well. But he was being the goody-goody and got beat up bad for his trouble.

I thought that the Kenny's were actually all different. I think I remember an ep where his parents just kept having new ones after he was killed and somehow stuck him in the 3rd grade.
