Well, it's school spirit week at my school.
In case you don't know, you're supposed to dress to a certain theme.
Monday was Superhero Day.
My superheros:
Wong, Crusher of Trolls
And who can hate HIT-MAN?
And of course....
We all love the Mastermind
Tuesday: Sport Day
Wednesday, Decades Day (dress up as your favorite decade)
Stupid wankers kept yanking off my comm badge
Tomorrow, Toga Day
Time to play "Boy who will yank off the togas off the senior chics"
Friday, Spirit Day
Time to skip school and play hookie

At my school, we're having an "80's week", where we dress up in fashions from the 80's. By "we", I mean about 15 students.

I lacked school spirit, school just sucked the life out of me. How students could get so happy-like about school I could not understand. The only thing that made school tolerable were cute girls with skimpy clothing. That and getting ringside seats to fights and rumbles every week. University I have to say is a completely different story, with much better looking babes too.

We had Jungle Fever for homecoming. I'll let that sink in on how stupid that was.

Pajama Day. Celebrated by 50 students out of 1500, every one of them fucked up in so many different ways it's no longer funny, but only because it takes too long to list them.

When my HS had theme-dress weeks, I didn't participate at all.
Although Darth Utsanomiko and I made sure to wear black shirts on School Spirit Fridays (school colours: red and blue). Not to be jerks or to make a statement, but just because.
Out of about 1700 students, I think only 10-30% participated (didn't really pay that much attention to it, and it was more than two years ago).

FUCK YEAH ON ALL ACCOUNTS!
First, I have no actual school spirit. I used it as an opportunity to show fealty to ASVS and SD.net, not my school, which I don't give a damn about.
Second, I love it because MAN THE GIRLS ARE SO GODDAMN FUCKING HOT!

Unfortunately, my school, being the prison it is, doesn't even allow the girls to have such skimpy clothes as short shorts, mini skirts, or spaghetti straps. SPAGHETTI STRAPS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! The interesting thing is that the cheerleaders, romanettes, twirlers, field hockey players, soccer players, etc. get to wear pretty short skirts just for being a part of the school extracurricular activities.

Actually that isn't so bad.

Hot girls huh? You got nothing on me. I went to school supermodel Estella Warren. She is an S.I. swimsuit model among other things, and I got to see her every day. But back then she was just another cute swimmer chick, one of tens of them in fact, if only I'd known....

School spirit... ::shutters::. Back in high school we always had the expected ones: Hawian day (most hawian was my tan which I couldn't scrub off in time for me not to show a pissint of spirit), twin day (everyone around me: Gap, old navy, nike, A&F, other crap... me: faded slacks, plad shirt, tattered shoes), pajama day (unfortunatly pajamas seem to BE the modern high school trend), and school spirit day (they expected me to wear purple and silver...
)
I've never had school spirit, if anything I spread anti-school spirit. Of course I was that wierdo kid who sat in the corner, talked about off-wall stuff and played chess or computer games during my lunchtime hour (except my freshman year when I play flickerball, now that was fun)... well, glad I'm away from that horror and now into having my arse kicked in college

I didn't have "school spirit" in high school, but I find I'm more inclined to now I'm university as I actually choose it(the university). Well actually its more faculty spirit, especially since "faculty spirit" is more or less synonymous with "large amounts of alcohol”(even though I don’t drink[yet anyway, I may start, but I have to think about it], its still quite a lot of fun).
Btw does anyone know what the symbols in my Avatar mean?

Today, it was "80's hair week" at my school. There were about 50 boys in afro wigs, and one gave his to me to wear for a little bit. I'm sure when I get back form vacation he'll have lice.

No he just loves staring at that picture.

I like mentioning that fact about my life when others start jabbering on about all the hot chicks they've seen or how their friend's sister's cousin knows Natalie Portman or some other hot chick. Of course the fact that you guys keep reposting my picture in your replies would lead me to believe that you like staring at her too. but we're all guys so that's OK. BTW, though I do like looking at the picture, staring isn't the word I'd use, staring is what would happen if I met her again in real life at a swimsuit photo shoot.

Oddly, my school did the same thing. (County-wide policy). In practise, most of the girls simply avoided the people who would send them to detention for wearing short-shorts or miniskirts. Spagetti straps were another story - most just didn't wear them.

The thing is that EVERYONE enforces the rules by the book, and there are teachers that have free and security people posted around every floor and security people patrol around the school grounds. They don't have weapons of any sort but they have....WALKIE-TALKIES!!! Ooh....fear the wrath of the man with a walkie-talkie in his hand! But I have to say that they all do their jobs well, so....eh...

Now that I think about this again, I suppose all of these strict rules have a better effect on students in general than letting them do basically whatever the hell they want. Besides, everyone is nice about the rules. I've never seen any staff member yell at anyone, mis-handle situations....nothing of that sort. I have to admit they are damned good at their jobs.
