I just came upon these short videos released by the DoD on Monday of various Iraqi defenses engaging assorted planes and drones. They don't show a huge amount, but where worth the download.

Exactly now we've got politicions with all the backbone of a jellyfish. If they're going to start a war just do it and go I full bore not pussyfooting around.

What are your opinions on why the Iraqi's have not been able to shoot down a coalition plane over the last 10 years.

Is there Air Defense network just too trashed from the Gulf War?
Are they just not trying hard enough?
They lack the skill too?
Are they mainly using ADA and the coalition planes just fly above it?
Combo of the above ?

The most important factor above all else is that the Iraqi air defense network in the no-fly zones has been bombed on a weekly basis for the past ten years. This has had the obvious and expected effect on the state and quality of the Iraqi air defense network.
