What are some things in life you don't get?

How come, if wind blows in your face, it feels cooler? Doesn't that create friction?
Why do some kids cheer whrn they don't fail a test, but when some other kids get lower than an A++, they punsih themselves by doing something fun?
If a tree falls in the woods and it lands on Rosie O'Donnel, does anyone care?
How come some people think the Bible is the literal word of God? I don't remember seeing "Written by God" on the cover.
How come I can't think of somehting I don't get that makes sense?

do you really want me to break out the meterological book?
Why do some kids cheer whrn they don't fail a test, but when some other kids get lower than an A++, they punsih themselves by doing something fun?
Ok, this one makes no sense.
If a tree falls in the woods and it lands on Rosie O'Donnel, does anyone care?
Yes, it shuts her up.
How come some people think the Bible is the literal word of God? I don't remember seeing "Written by God" on the cover.
Amen.
How come I can't think of somehting I don't get that makes sense?
huh? THat sentence doesn't make sense.

Heat transfer through convection is first thought. The wind, being cooler than your face, extracts heat by flowing over it.

When I didn't get an A I punished myself by studying
more
The answers to the rest of the questions I don't know, sorry.

Unless the temperature is greater than 98.6F, the air is cooler than your skin. It cools your body through convection heat transfer. This easily overwhelms the insignificant heating effects of air friction at low speeds (but at Mach 7, air friction will melt titanium).
Why do some kids cheer whrn they don't fail a test, but when some other kids get lower than an A++, they punsih themselves by doing something fun?
Huh? Why is it self-punishment to do something fun?
If a tree falls in the woods and it lands on Rosie O'Donnel, does anyone care?
No.
How come some people think the Bible is the literal word of God? I don't remember seeing "Written by God" on the cover.
Only fundies think the Bible is the LITERAL word of God. Fundies are idiots.
How come I can't think of somehting I don't get that makes sense?
Your first question was intelligible, and the answer was easy. It went downhill from there

How come, giving the same answer as me, Lord Wong's reasoning is always better ?
That's one of the things in life I don't get, BTW

1. I dont get PETA.
2. I dont get people protesting free trade.
3. I do not understand why if my T-Shirt stinks at the end of the day, I can throw it into the corner of my room. A couple of weeks later it does not stink anymore.

Darth Wong is brilliant, and he can clearly get points across in a very reasonable manner.
Incidentally, even if the air is above 98.6 degrees, it sometimes does feel cooler because movement of the air helps move the most energetic (hottest) water particles away from your face, cooling you slightly faster than completely stagnant air. Note that this only happens in certain conditions, and usually only at relatively low humidities.

I care. I care because I'd want to see that played on the news over and over again. Especially if we can hear her during the impact.

I don't understand how some people can be as stupid as they are and somehow survive and function in day to day life...wait a minute...nevermind I can answer that one, it's because we've made the world "idiot safe".
Fortunately stupid people can still find ways to remove themselves from the genepool, see the Darwin awards.

I don't understand what lures people to religions with predestination. Calvinism, for example (this was hundreds of years ago, but it still baffles me). Why would people choose a religion where they had absolutely no control of the fate of their eternal soul? At least with Catholicism and other Protestant denominations acknowledge that you have at least have an option to not go to hell.

He thought anti-biotics would be scarce and this solution would help him. After Y2k didnt happen he kept drinking this solution. Now his skin has turned a bluish tint, permanently. He was just smart enough to lay off the stuff.
I dont know if its really true, or just some urban rumor, but this guy is up there on the how did you survive day to day ladder?

If you read that sentence enough, it actually makes sense...
Something that makes sense, that he doesn't get. Why can't he think of one?
Anyways, I don't get what calculus has to do with being a Computer Science major. Yet.

Ha Lire thinks its because he mentioned that fast-moving air can melt titanium.
