I don't know, there's really not much to say. Kids shouldn't play with explosives, or if they do at least do it right and put to use that doesn't involve destroying property or endangering others.

Back on topic, sounds like some kid lit the contents of a garbage can on fire and tossed an aerosol can into it. Worst case some kid got a bunch of firecrackers, cut them open and used the gunpowder to make a small bomb. Probably just another dork who's read one too many textfiles on the internet.

Sad to say kids blowing things up is almost a timeless tradition.

Napalm is a term used for several compositions, but all are mostly gasoline. The whole idea is the take gas, and make it into a jelly that will burn more slowly and stick together in one spot.

The original composition used aluminum soap powder consisting of naphthene and palmitate to thicken the gas. More recent napalm is gasoline with polystyrene and benzene, its officially called napalm B and is much safer since it has a very high ignition point, something like 4000 degrees IIRC. The percentages of the additives vary with what you want to napalm for, flamethrower vs. bomb. But the range is about 6-16% IIRC.
