Grammy-winning composer Michael Kamen dies at 55.

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :cry::(:cry:

Kamen composed a number of good soundtracks for various movies, including Frequency, X-Men, Band of Brothers, Highlander, the Lethal Weapon and Die Hard movies, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, the Three Musketeers (the Disney one with Chris O'Donnell and Kiefer Sutherland), Roadhouse, Event Horizon, the Iron Giant, and the Bond movie Licence to Kill.

Dear lord! :cry:

He was so young! And he did excellent scores for X-Men so recently.

A sad loss indeed.

His soundtracks grace my collection and considered him a great composer. His main theme for Band of Brothers is just beautiful.

He also did the score for "What Dreams May Come." Absolutely heart-melting work.

Fuck! The dude that did Die Hard and Metallica's S&M concert! Fuck, he was only in his 50's wasnt he? I was never a huge fan of his work but i always felt that he didnt get enough appriciation and not enough opportunity to strut his stuff.

The Band Of Brothers theme would be a fitting piece for his funeral, the emotion in that two minute piece is very evident.

Feeling inspired and saddened by the loss of a great musician, I have created a music mix made up of tracks from Kamen's various movie scores. It's 26 and a half minutes long, 192kbit compression. A track listing is included in the zip file, which is nearly 37MB in size.

I hope that through this I do his memory honor. :(:cry:

Just D/Led it. Thank you very much, Steve. you did a great job compiling those. I especially liked your transition from RH:PoT to The Musketeers, worked superbly.

He will be missed, and I know it is not considered the greatest but he also did some stuff for The Last Action Hero movie...

From what I understand, he has been suffering from MS for years. A great loss indeed.
