Well, what would you like to see in Star Wars vs. Star Trek game?
Also, what would you call it?

What would I like to see?
10k Poly models shooting each other up in Golrious Direct X 9 coding and those 10kers?
I want that to be the detail for the TIEs
ISD MK II the first 1 Million Polygon model

Mmmm... I'd like to see some ST mods emerge for Star Wars: Galaxies- the Empire can unleash it's most deadly weapon on the Rebellion- Hundreds of Captain Janeway clones
Or maybe an Elite Force/Jedi Knight 2 crossover- seeing as the games run on the same game engine, that might even be possible. A Jedi running through a Borg ship, or a Starfleet officer running around an SD with a pulse phaser rifle.

If I were doing it, I'd want the team that did Star Wars: Alliances to get right on it and do a flight-sim crossover.
FPS's would be inane...
Actually, hell. I want the guy who made the Hell Fighter freeware game to handle it...sort of a top-down multiplayer Asteroids-style shootfest. Action games rule!

The Jedi Knight and Elite Force cross over would be cool. A Tactical game like the Star Ship Troopers or Ground Control games would be nice using some of the infantry from both. A Homeworld style space combat game would be nice.

What would I like to see in a SW vs, ST game... Hmm...
ISD SMACKING THE ENTERPRISE DOWN!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
But seriously, I'd hope there would be great music and AI partners who have some intelligence (they gang up on targets with you, etc... I know arcade games where my AI partner co-ops with me as effectively as a human player, so it's not impossible.)

Flight sim/ship command crossover
You start out as a lowly tie pilot flying around in a sea of multi-thousand polygon models. You rise in the ranks to become the commander of a large starship(an eclipse perhaps) but maintaining the ability to hop into your "baby"(a souped up tie defender) You have the option of commanding from inside the bridge, or from a view ouside your ship.
That or something like a homeworld style RTS

A first-person shooter where you can drive or commandeer vehicles when necesssary, and when mission goals often involve attacking enemy installations, sort of like the idea of "Command and Conquer: Renegade". I always love that feeling of power in C&C Renegade when you climb into an M1 and your view changes from the puny assault rifle to that big 120mm smoothbore

Na, real fun is driving around at about 80mph in a machinegun jeep in Operation Flashpoint looking for things to kill. Be sure to have a gunner and a few others onboard as well, both to man the gun and replace the gunner when he gets killed.Darth Wong wrote:A first-person shooter where you can drive or commandeer vehicles when necesssary, and when mission goals often involve attacking enemy installations, sort of like the idea of "Command and Conquer: Renegade". Course the game does also have an M1A1..
Now that I think about it, I want the Flashpoint engine adapted for a SW First person shooter. Only it should be a four-six disk set with ten or more maps each with there own campagin set on various planets.

First time I drove the jeep I ran into a sandbag emplacement and killed myself. hahahaNa, real fun is driving around at about 80mph in a machinegun jeep in Operation Flashpoint looking for things to kill. Reminds me of one time I was driving down a road which had to Soviet troops lieing down in it. They managed to kill me but the jeep was going so fast it kept going and crushed them both to death.TrailerParkJawa wrote:First time I drove the jeep I ran into a sandbag emplacement and killed myself. hahahaNa, real fun is driving around at about 80mph in a machinegun jeep in Operation Flashpoint looking for things to kill. I still can't get the thing to flip though, which seems very strange.
