So, Countrymen! What plans doth thee have for Thanksgiving?

I'm driving my wife and sister (my parents are taking their own car, thank god) to my aunt's house in Stamford CT. Turkey, wine, football and half a dozen sugar-high kids under the age of 7.

NITPICK: I believe it would be something like, what plans dost thou haveth?

I begin my traditional Klix-family Clan fast today. I call it the fast before the feast. Man, nothing makes you drool like not having eaten for 24+ hours, and smelling that thanksgiving turkey and stuffing, and just...MMMMM MMMMMMMM!

I'm going to my GRANDMOTHER'S HOUSE for thanksgiving! Awww, man, NOTHING is as good as Grandmother thanksgiving! YIPPEE!!!! I love thanksgiving! Oooooh, I can smell the stuffing now...oh and I forgot....



FOOTBALL!!!!! WOOT WOOT! This will be a good week!

i have a four day weekend, school is closed thursday and friday...

I now officially hate you people.

Hah. I'm a student, and I do a TWO day week every week.

If it makes non-Americans feel better I'm working the whole weekend.


I will get time and a half for working Thanksgiving though.

Only 4 days? Poor adults. My dad has to work today too, can you believe it?

Basterds, students and vacation lovers, 6 day's a week of learning, and no vacations till decemeber!

Taking the 4.5 hour drive back home, for only the second time this semester. That and eating. Lots of eating... and football.

I have a five day weekend. I'm off today(wednesday), tomorrow, friday, and then i get the normal weekend.

I can't get over the fact that EVERY country exept china (or not), has 2 days of weekend, and there is only one country with 1 weekend, and guess where I live.........

Haha, Stamford and Norwalk CT is my local romping ground (I live in Wilton) - thats so funny.

Since today is like a Friday, going out to Stamford tonight, tomorrow relatives from Jersey coming over, then back to work on Friday. Have to work on Saturday too, to make up for not working on Thursday.

I have classes today, but I'm obviously not going to go seeing as how I left school yesterday. Turkey, family blah blah blah, UGA-Tech game on Saturday, back home, and back to school to experience what will surely be the worst two weeks of my life - it's scary how much studying I have do for for finals this time.

Too bad we americans can't get paid overtime for most whitecollar jobs, and don't get 4-6 weeks of paid vacation like europeans do.

Bah, I'm pretty sure the UK has more holidays anyway. Bank Holidays are always fun.

For me five day because my boss has to go to Texas...and work is rather slow...so I get today to loaf...tomorrow to enjoy Turkey and kick dad's ass in chess for $100, and then Friday-Sunday for myself.

Then there's me, who's going to spend the time doing nothing but programming, physics, and calc the entire weekend... bleh...

Meh, my work dangled the carrot of a four day weekend in front of us. As usual, it didn't pan out. Fuckers.

I'm at work now, have a few college recommendation letters to write later tonight for my students, and I have to work both Saturday and Sunday, but tomorrow and Friday I get to sleep in! And play! And see friends! And did I mention sleeping in?

I know loads of people that work over Xmas and the New Year at douible time and that excludes the generous tips. Some people can make well over £500 a week even though they're students doing bar work.

True...when I waited tables I would put in for holiday work(well for New Year's more then Christmas)

It's just wondering well Thanksgiving ...though Black Friday is a part of that so I could see it easily.
