Today was a good day, Minus of course, that disturbing dream
I had last night involving cannibalism and eating/stewing my own
damn right leg below the knee. I blame that one on the LT's multiple
threads involving cannibalism.

Anyway, I have a job as an apprentice electrician starting monday with
Kelly & Sons Electric. The Job is in Silver Spring, so yay! I don't have
to drive far! And as a bonus, the Main office of Kelly & Sons is right
across the damn street from my dad's company. Another Yay!

And I'm a apprentice in the Electrican's union, so Yay again!

you can make damn good money once you get your master licence. Heck, even journeymen make good money. Good for you Shep!

Maybe now we can all chip in and buy that U-Boat from Ebay and have you re wire it!

Why do I have this nagging feeling that there's going to be another east coast blackout soon?

Don't worry, aerius, for the first two or three years, he'll be under a journeyman or master, pulling wires through conduit. Electrician's helpers jobs are not easy, but when he gets journeyman, he'll get his very own gopher to order around and do all the rough manual labor, while he fantasizes about that U-boat.

Better idea: GALE Force will buy the U-Boat and we can all live in it.

Long, Hard, and Full of Seamen!!!

Congratulations and good luck.

However, I can't help but ask the question: if you go on to prove that a formerly violent criminal can reform his life and go on to become a productive member of society (and I think I speak for many of us when I say that I sincerely hope you do), will you change your views on the justice system?

I find it funny that part time fascist and super conservative Mark/Ryan is now a union member. The irony is delightful.
