Futurama To Be Resurrected?

Well ... no, not yet, anyway ... however ...
Family Guy has sold a large number of DVDs for FOX, so there has been interest to a degree in that property. We've been talking for months about that type of thing [a joint effort] with FOX. [...] There hasn't been an equivalent situation with Futurama to date. It did quite well on DVD but didn’t sell the numbers that Family Guy sold.

Dammit, don't tease me with thread titles like that!
Anyway, even more important than the Commies is to buy Futurama merchandise, as much as possible. Maybe start a letter-writing campaign. It worked for Big O, even if it took a few years...

I'd like to see Futurama return. It is mind-boggling that they'd cancel that show and yet allow a lurching corpse like The Simpsons to tarry on...

I never understood why they cancelled Futurama and Family Guy. I loved those shows, even if I do partly blame them for The Simpsons going down the drain. It seemed like once those shows were aired, The Simpsons tried to compete with their zany weirdness and lost its original focus. The old episodes still make me laugh, but the new ones just aren't as funny to me.
At least there's still Strong Bad and NOBODY can cancel him![/quote]

IIRC, they killed Family Guy by fucking around with the show time constantly. Hell, how many shows have networks killed by fucking with the time slots?

Vote for Futurama; and go by Family Guy stuff. And write FOX letters to let them know how much better Peter Griffin is then them. That'll show 'em.
