"Mail Call"

Today, one of my soldiers greeted me with, "I saw you on TV last night, sir." I raised an eyebrow, wondering if I were in some kind of trouble. Two other soldiers echoed the first and explained that I was on "Mail Call" on the History Channel. So it appears they re-ran that segment about the IBCT/Digital Battlefield, wherein I've a small piece, pointing at a map during a brief. Nice to be famous for a day...

I saw you on that episode. I was watching with a few friends. I pointed you out and acted like we went way back. :D Actually, at the time I was not sure which one was you, just that one of them was you. :)

I'm the one that's pointing to the set of monitors when ole Sarge says, "I think that any computer geek..." Fitting, eh. He does make setting up a TOC sound a lot easier than it really is...

I saw you, both times; I've also noticed a lot of Strykers. Me thinks the Army is conspiring with the shows producers to show off the Stryker at every possibul opportunity.

I'd think the process really gets fun when someone consults a 1950's field manual, and decides the radio aerials ought to be hidden ten kilometers away on the far side of a ridge just in case the enemy triangulates and uses a nuke against them.

Weren't you the one with the NBC glasses on? I've seen your pic a couple times and the Zero with the BCG (NBC style) looked just like you so I only assumed it was you. :D

Well, thank you. Speaking of cute, I'm glad you adopted that Final Fantasy (animated, no less) avatar -- reminds me of the old POKE, QUIT! one you initially had...
