Like the title says. I got his dvd for someone for xmas (and watched it, to make sure it worked, of course) and goddamn, he's so funny in a northern way.

Many cool quotes, "Grim Reaper's camp isn't he?" and "Passengers in the station are advised to stand back from the yellow line, in case you're sucked off" and loads of stuff that escapes me.

But, i'm sure i'll be the only one who either knows who he is and likes him, so prove me wrong!

I would agree there, phoenix nights isn't really my cup of tea as far as comedy goes, but his stand up is fucking funny.

I thought Phoenix Nights was ok.
My fav comedy programs are/were Chris Morrises Jam and Brasseye (if you don't who what they are, find out!).
Peter Kays funny, but I prefer Johny Vegas.

Jam was FUCKING WEIRD. But yes Brass Eye, and it's parent show The Day Today (some parts written with Lee and Herring, with Armando Ianucci as a staple) are extremely funny. The funniest program that i have ever seen, that was so usited to my tastes though, was This-Morning-With-Richard-Not-Judy, or TMWRNJ (tehmunrunjuh), birthplace of the Curious Orange.
