OK, here's the deal. Some moron has posted two posters of sorts on my dormitory floor. One says "Prayer Request" at the top, with room at the bottom for people to fill in their prayer request. The other is similiar but says "Praise Report." Being the trouble maker that I am, I though I should start engaging in a little guerilla religion. So, I am hereby asking for suggestions of things to write to upset the fundies (ie, statements like "L Ron Hubbard Rules!" on the praise report poster.)

Any suggestions?

Prayer Request: pray for people to stop hating Satan

Praise Report: report that after searching your soul, you have learned to love Satan and all of his minions.

Other suggestions:

Prayer request 1: I would like to pray for a stop to intrusive public displays of religion.

Praise report 1: After praising God for three straight months, the bastard still won't agree to stop torturing innocent people for all eternity if they die before converting to Christianity

Prayer request 2: I would like to pray for the continued growth of secularism.

Praise report 2: After repeated experiments, I have found that it is far more satisfying for others to praise me than for me to praise God.

Prayer request 3: In the spirit of mutual respect and tolerance, I would like everyone present to come worship Baal with me on Tuesday.

Prayer Request: In the spirit of Sacrifice a Harmless Animal Day, I invite everyone to come to the grove of hemlock trees just outside the campus grounds tonight, at midnight. Wear a cloak and cowl, or else you'll burn forever is searing agony.

A protest movement from UTas a couple of years back when the Christian societies were getting a BIT too powerful.

Ended up getting national headlines as the media latched onto it and ran in utterly the wrong direction.

honestly, what is wrong with someone doing that? I mean, they have free speech. They didnt put it up for you people to ruin. Yall, that just aint right for you to do, just because you dont believe, doesnt mean you have to try and put down those who do, like me.

The mere act of publicly brandishing your religion is perfectly reasonable justification for us to put you down in return. Sigh, while i might think that my religion is right, and i might tell you that, im not, and i will not, attempt to force my religion on someone else. I think that is wrong. But publicly displaying this is not bad, it is being put up for the benefit of other believers, not non believers. He/she is not forcing anyone to write anything on there. Like i said, i might not agree with the things you believe, and i might tell you what i think, but I cant make you believe something, and it is wrong to think that i could.

I've always found an anonomous "Why is my penis purple?" a real showstopper on any public request or Q&A list.
EDIT: Be sure to write it in a different hand, though - you know how word gets around.

Yet we all have to see it. I don't go around putting up posters proclaiming athiesm. Moreover, if I did, I would be put on my own privatedoor, not on a public wall. And if I did ask people to write on it, I wouldn't bitch if I recieved negative feedback. This person however decided to put two sixteen square foot posters on a public wall for the sole purpost to sollicite feedback. They sure as hell are going to get feedback.

Because to post anything you need authorization from the housing department. Besides as I already said, I believe religion to be a private matter, therefore I won't go around putting up athiesm posters. Since these people don't want to be as respectable, I will give them what they ask for.

He is not paying for this persons religion, i dont see how he thinks that. It is a public area and something was posted on this public area. I find the Christian Religion Sicking Actually, The Worshiping of one who can be called nothing else but an Evil Genocidal Overlord, but you know what? I don't go around putting posters up or bilboards about how if you don't love Puppys your going to Hell to burn for Eternity, however you religion does(Replace Puppys with Jesus and you get a billboard 5 miles from my house)

Christianity and many other religions have caused a great many deaths and suffering. From the Crusades to 9/11, the causes were religious fanaticism. And you're wondering why some people are wary of religion permeating in our culture?

I watched 60 Minutes tonight. Apparently, fundamentalist Christians are supporting Israel. The reason? They believe that the Jews retaking their traditional home signals the Second Coming. So they're pretty happy with Sharon killing Muslims and forcibly evicting Palestinians. One of these fundies actually said the Israeli Prime Minister who signed the Oslo Peace Accord was against the will of God, so his assassination was the act of God punishing him.

These kind of things remind me constantly that religion is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, cause of human suffering.
