Need gift advice for a Woman

Okay, basicly I am completely in love with this woman and as far as I can tell she is with me. Thing of it is she is in US whilst I am in UK (changing this summer) but anyways, I need to get her something really nice for Christmas but I have no idea! What do you buy for an 18 year old girl to show affection? Guess I just suck but the only things coming to mind are necklaces and I'm worried I'll get one she dislikes :( So anyone willing to spill me some advice?

PS I've known her for nearly 5 years.

Perfume, lotions, gift certificates to Victoria's Secret with notes attached saying "I thought you'd look good in these, but better out of them." (kidding about the last part) :P

Oh, and flowers are always nice, jewelry works good, too.

Stay off the perfume IMO unless you know what she likes and you know it well, otherwise you could get something which she really doesnt like, you could always go down the emotional line with presents, get something personal or hand made or something that shows that you put time and effort into hunting it down or making it or whatever, at least that way, she can't fault the feeling behind it.

Fly across the pond, show up at her door unannounced on Christmas day, and give her a hug.

Well, since you've known her that long, you should have picked up on some of the stuff she likes. Her favorite colors, etc. Basically find something that you know she'll like, but at the same time something that only you would think of getting her.

I know it's rather vague, but it generally works.

Sounds good to me. At $900 to $1000 buck a ticket from London to New York (took a general look at airfare's) its a hell-o-va good Christmas preseant.

you can't go wrong with smelly soaps and lotions. chicks love them. About $50 will get you a good sized sample pack.

Advice from my wife is 'how much you got to spend and whats your relationship like'. If you got the answer's to both questions you should know what she would like.

But she's a chick too so she doesn't understand the male capacity to misunderstand women.

Always a good idea really. You can get something suitable to her personality and personal with out having to go nuts.

Plus having something cute and cuddly that reminds her of you is never a bad thing.

I agree with Wong. Stop beating around the bush. Anal beads and 12 inch dildos may aslo be acceptable.

IMO, whatever you get should be accompanied by a good book. I give books and they always get a warm reception.

flowers, perfumes and chocolates are pure bullshit which prove nothing but your lack of creativity.

Women can be divided cleanly into two:

Women who love Tigger
Women who love Eeyore.

If you're really in love with her, you'll know which one she is. Buy her a giant fluffy version, or an electronic one. (Like a bouncing Tigger)

Bizarre, yet true, I wonder what the analysis is on that. And which one are you, IB? Eeyore seems to be the standard with mates at home, perhaps under that manic depressive front, our donkey friend is hiding a large secret. Hell, he is a donkey.

Oh I'm a Tigger girl, all the way. Eeyore wasn't MD, just a whiner.
