Anyone else watched this movie? I just saw it again. It is an older movie, but it sure kicks ass. Anyone else like it?
The scene at the end with the three soldier lines killing thousands of Zulus was incredible.
Anyone else like this movie?

It has Michael Caine, and it's an older film. Therefore, it's automatically good. See Italian Job.

Hell yes!
So long as you avoid that horrible prequel, Zulu Dawn.
Most VC medals given out to a single group at Rorke's Drift.

Its a great movie, I need to get it on DVD since my VHS tape isn't in too good shape. Some people may also have noticed that a chunk of its soundtrack was used in The Two Towers.

That would make sense given the similarities with the sieges, probably a homage by Howard Shore.
I see the two-disc special edition DVD in HMV for £11.99, may just get it.

The sound clip accompanies the troops marching into the black gate, not anything at Helms Deep.

I'll look out for that next time I see TTT.

One of my two favorite Michael Caine movies, the other being 'The Man Who Would Be King'

Great movie. I remember there was actually a scenario based on Rorke's Drift in White Dwarf a while ago, with the Imperial Guard as the British and Orks as Zulus.

An excellent film, I first saw it in my year 9 "Warfare through the Ages" class. Even better, we had our resident South African teacher provide some interesting back story to the history surrounding that conflict, especially the colourful practices that Shaka-Zulu got up to.
(it's too bad Star Wars wasn't included, but then the class was a history class. It's okay, we got to see Star Wars in English. Man, I loved my high school

It's on DVD? My VHS of it is in pretty bad shape after so many years...but I didn't even realize it was on DVD.

Been out ages, Region 2 at least. I think it's only in a special edition two-disc set, so get that. HMV have it as part of a buy one, get one free offer.

At least your public school didn't have religious morons in it (though neither did mine, Anglican schools being rather laid-back - still, there were a few fuckers in it). If it makes you feel any better, sometimes I wished that I had gone to a state school. I figured I would have worked harder than I did in private school.

I must remember to watch it. For some reason, my World History class never bothered to show it. They showed the rather dull and somewhat perverted "Europa, Europa" and the extremely cheap dramatization of a PART of an ancient Mali epic. First smester was far better; a Nova documentary and an extremely funny on classical Greece. But enough of ranting, I'm going to check if my folks have "Zulu" on tape........
