Actual Phone Call to my Office:

The gentleman calls, asking for how to get his birth certificate "...because someone here in my neighborhood is trying to take over my identity."

This isn't unusual, Identity theft is getting common. It was the next thing that weirded me out:

"He's been stalking me, and I think he's been killing off my family. Two of them have died, and it's his fault. I've told the police about him, but they think I'm crazy and don't listen."

Yeeee-yeah. Of course, I don't say this over the phone.

"I think I might have to move back to West Virginia. He's trying to move into my apartment, and I think he wants to kill me. Do you have shelters in West Virginia? I need to find a shelter there, so I can hide from him."

I assured him we have shelters, all the while wondering if he meant homeless shelters or bomb shelters.

"Good. When I come back to WV, I'll stop and visit you. What's the office address where I mail for my certificate?"

I give him the address, and we hung up.

So... Crazy? Paranoid? What say ya'll?

I would bet small amounts of money that it's a crank caller.

Obviously he is the latest victim of the new batches of Terminators that have been running around. I recommend he contact Setzer for additional advice.
