I'll assume that means you quoted it from the aforementioned site rather than writing it yourself. Otherwise, we'll have to beat you with rubber hoses.Enforcer Talen wrote:here's a statement for you:
Actually, with 6 billion of us already here, that is no longer an imperative. Even if only one half of us procreate, the species is more than numerous enough. For Creationists and evolutionists alike we have a common consensus: We are on this earth to procreate.
Homosexuality is common in the animal kingdom (obviously, this guy has never seen a male dog in action).Homosexuality does not produce life; instead, only temporary pleasure for some. If humans evolved from a lesser animal, did humans also evolve into homosexuality? If this activity were common in the animal kingdom, wouldn’t we have a minuscule population today?
Appeal to anecdotal evidence.Ask any honest doctor that practices in a predominately homosexual community and he will describe for you the very serious health issues arising from homosexual activity.
I like the way it doesn't occur to him that a "predominantly homosexual" community is probably going to be full of flaming queens rather than low-key homosexuals, and that this in no way legitimizes an attempt to generalize from their example.Ask any honest cop that patrols in a predominately homosexual community about the incidence of domestic violence. In no other group of people is there even a close second to the severity, or the frequency of violence that occurs amongst homosexuals.
Notice how he makes no effort to explain what's wrong with the prevailing theory that intolerance leads to these psychological problems.Drug & alcohol abuse, suicides, severe psychological disorders are all higher in the homosexual communities.
And of course, heterosexuals are mostly to blame because of their non-acceptance or non-approval of the homosexual lifestyle. Such is our lot in life I guess.
The vague "common knowledge" evidence to which he alludes, riddled as it is with logical fallacies? Oh yeah, that evidenceJust like the entire animal kingdom, our preference is for the opposite sex, and our natural goal is for procreation. And we are expected to recognize same-sex unions as normal and healthy, when all of the evidence points to the contrary? I don't think so.
Interesting. He acknowledges that he insists upon his belief despite the evidence. We Creationists are often called naïve and intellectually dishonest (and many other things, I’m sure) because in the face of so much evolutionary evidence we insist upon our beliefs regardless.
Actually, the incidence of successful "conversions" is ridiculously low. Many of the Christian "poster boy" examples have had serious marital problems and relapses into their natural behaviour. It's like conditioning a dog to eat dry dog food. He'll eat it, and if you carefully control his every move, he might even seem fulfilled. But if left to his own devices without repression, he'll want that big juicy T-bone steak. How is this different for the homosexual?
There are many who leave the homosexual lifestyle, marry, have children, and live healthy heterosexual lifestyles. And there are those who try to leave… and fail. And of course there are those who make every attempt to make this lifestyle work.
How is it destructive to be homosexual? Can anyone say "false cause fallacy?" "Hasty generalization?"I have no problem with this. It is their life, after all. But, it is wrong for them to expect, and especially for them to demand that heterosexuals call what they see as abnormal and destructive, otherwise.
We have scientific evidence, they have Biblical evidence. One of them is based on reality, the other is based on fantasy. I like the way he tries to make it seem as if they're on equal footing. We certainly don’t demand that evolutionists believe in a literal 6 day Creation . They have their evidence, and we have ours.
So it's OK to tell people they're wicked and evil even if they're not hurting anyone? I don't see how this follows, but then again, I don't see how any of the right-wing gay-bashing intolerant bullshit follows. The same should go for sexual preferences.

Just a fun remind of that Evil Genocdial Overlord worshiped by MillionsLeveticus 20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
-pokes- of course that wasnt me. I've posted my views on homosexuality before, and shooting them all isn't it.Darth Wong wrote:I'll assume that means you quoted it from the aforementioned site rather than writing it yourself.
